My dad calls me one night and we talk about life, whatever. He mentions that he saw a great deal from Cathay Pacific airlines, called the "All Asia Pass". It's a deal that allows you to choose any or all of 16 cities in asia, and you have 21 days to fly to all of them if you'd like. All for one price! (well, the taxes on each city are additional). So, I called up a few friends and a couple of them expressed an interest... so we went!
I went with my friends Jenny Lentz and Shiva Sinha, a couple that I knew before the trip and got to know them quite well. I've known Jenny for years, and I've known Shiva through Jenny. I got the pleasure to know him even better during this trip.
We decided to concentrate on three places: Hong Kong, Bali, and Thailand. Hong Kong is the hub of Cathay Pacific, and we had to fly through there anyway. Bali was just a beautiful place to go, and Thailand intrigued all of us. However, after 9/11 Indonesia turned out to be too much of a risk for us to go. Jenny called the Embassy there and they basically said "Don't come." So we didn't. :) We switched from Bali to Taiwan.
The first leg, from 11/24-11/28 was Hong Kong. (Click here for the pics).
The second leg from 11/28 - 12/1 was Taiwan. (Click here for the pics.)
The third leg from 12/1 - 12/12 was Thailand. (Click here for the pics.)
